Neglected Blog

So I finally set up a blog, and then turn right around and neglect it. Shame on me. As we all can relate to, family, work and all that life stuff keeps you busy. I've been busy getting my daughters ready for a school talent show, putting together my very first card kit and hosting my first ever swap! I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I plan on updating regularly, just as soon as the talent show is over with. So stay tuned.

I finally did it!! I listed my first item on my Etsy shop.

Artful Blogging

That is the title of a magazine I can't put down. It's put out 4 times a year by Somerset Studios. If you haven't seen the current issue you should really check it out.

It makes you think. Not only about great art and creativity, but how your heart and soul are connected to what you create.

Nothing satisfies my soul more than something I've made with my 10 digits and my heart.

It's a Universal Sign.....

So here's my story....

On Monday at work 3 people (customer's not employee's) were mean to me. One was really mean, he made me cry. I didn't let him see me though, I went to the restroom and called him a jerk. So it is fair to say that day was a crappy day.

So on Tuesday morning on the way back from dropping off kiddos at school I caught a red light. As I sat at the signal thinking about the day ahead (and hoping it was better than the one before), a teenager was attempting to cross the street in front of me. A car making a right turn caused him to stop, he then looked around like "is it safe to cross now. My light turned green and instead of going I waited for him to cross. As he reached the center of the street, and directly in front of my car he looked straight at me, smiled and flashed me the PEACE sign. I smiled back and went on my way.

In that small little universal gesture he made my day.

Before the day came to and end I did two more good deeds to erase the 3 mean people from my mind.

Moral of my story.....Mean people stink! and Teens who flash the peace sign rock!

Oh, and it was 70's day at school on friday.....How ironic.

I've been wanting to start an Etsy shop for awhile now...Aaahhhh the sweet sound of procrastination, don't you love it! lol

I finally got off my bupkiss (is that a real word?) and got busy doing it! So by this weekend I will list my first items and I'm going to start with "grab bags" of goodies from Tony's yardage shop. They will include lace, charms, buckles, vintage looking doo-dads (the official term I use) and whatever else I think you would love to use for papercrafting!

It's about time....

I finally did it.

I started a blog. Why did I wait so long? Well, partly because I wondered who would read it and second I didn't know it was actually that darn easy.

My main reason for blogging is to share my "crafty stuff", but I hope every once in awhile to share some cool things from my heart.
